KUALA LUMPUR, May 9 — All private and government organisations in the country have been advised to tighten their virtual networks to protect against a wave of crippling cyber attacks.
The National Cyber Security Agency (Nacsa) said it has detected various attack attempts that would affect their operating systems, web servers and online services.
“Based on our monitoring for the past few days, we noticed significant increment of cyber attacks towards Malaysian organisations both in the government and private sectors.
“The attacks were in the form of web defacement, email phishing and Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS),” it said in a statement yesterday.
The cyber attacks could cause information leakage, information loss, service disruption and integrity of information compromised.
