Thunderstorms, rising river waters in west coast states

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 7 ― The stormy weather that caused Penang and parts of Kedah and north Perak to flood is moving south along the Malaysian peninsula, according to data from the Meteorological Department.

In a notice published at 2am today, the department forecasted thunderstorms, heavy rains and high winds in four states on the west coast and the two Federal Territories.

The affected places are six districts in Selangor (Kuala Selangor, Petaling, Klang, Kuala Langat, Sepang and Hulu Langat); Kuala Lumpur; Putrajaya; Negri Sembilan (Tampin, Kuala Pilah, Rembau, Seremban and Port Dickson), Melaka and Johor (Segamat, Tangkak , Muar and Batu Pahat).
