KUALA LUMPUR: New converts to Islam have been urged to make good use of the facilities at the Darul Hidayah Complex and programmes organised by its management, said Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
“The complex is specially built for them. I urge the new converts to grab the opportunity to widen their knowledge through the programmes organised, whether they are formal or informal,” said the Deputy Prime Minister.
He said this in his speech, which was read out by Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department in charge of Islamic affairs Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom.
Dr Ahmad Zahid also said he hopes the complex can provide a temporary shelter to converts who face accommodation problems and could help to lighten their burden.
